A wonderful woman and a class actor

I met Grania when she played a role in a play I wrote a few years ago (which was directed by Janette).  She was truly brilliant in it.   She played an Irish woman, drawing on her own background, so she nailed the accent, of course.   What a talent for comedy and pathos.   She was always hard working, energetic, professional, straight and tremendous fun.  I remember her often leading the warm ups and she had a great way of engaging everyone.  I always felt she was a person who truly listened to others.

Since then I would regularly bump into her around Hove, often on the seafront when I walked my dog and she had Frigo and numerous times around the aisles or in the car park at Tesco.

I never met her husband or children, but she had a particular way of softening when she talked about them.  I know she loved them dearly and only hope her family can take some comfort in knowing how much Grania was loved and admired by all who had the good fortune to know her.
