Many years ago Grania stared as Cinderella  in pantomime at the Belgrade theatre in Coventry. I was at university at the time and she persuded me to come along with a mate of mine. She was  very specific about where we sat in the theatre which I thought nothing of ....until part way through the show the cast stopped to read out birthday wishes etc. The final announcement was to welcome Cinderella 's cousin and his new girlfriend  to their first panto. As the spotlight fell on my mate Steve and I, we tried to hide in our seats while hundreds of people pointed and laughed. 

Its exactly the kind  of thing her mum used to do to me. I will miss that humour and the laughter  that went with it.
