I have three distinct memories. The first, spotting your intensely curious yet impish face watching us perform. My second, being totally knocked out by your praise when we came off stage which made me feel ten feet tall. And the third - you knocking back a tequila with such a zest for life and a grand cackle I wondered how we'd not crossed paths before. Your death shook me deeply and I'm so sorry you've gone. But - there's a rose bush in our garden today and it's a squealing riot of divine unapologetic blooms that would (if a rose walked into a bar) knock back a tequila or three without a flinch. I've named it Grania. Remembering you with much love. Thank you for your kindness, I'll never forget how much you inspired me that day. X
We didn't know Grania to talk to only by sight, but we know she was greatly loved in our community. We were shocked by the tragic news and feel so sad for her boys and family.
